So here's the scenario.
Jim has just suffered a stroke. His double stent operation and two week stay at the hospital has amounted to a bill in excess of US$ 55,000. Jim is insured through Priority Health and like clockwork every last cent of his treatment has been paid for by his million dollar health cover. Jim is discharged, and at the exit door of the hospital is warned by the doctor that it will take him up to three months of convalescence before Jim can report back to his high stress job.
Jim's financial situation has just taken a turn for the worse.
Enter our Critical Illness Plan.
Jim suddenly remembers his Critical Illness cover he took with Priority a while back. He quickly asks the doctor for the initial diagnosis card and a small note from the doctor, verifying that he indeed suffered a stroke. Handing those documents over to Priority, Jim heads home.
Two weeks later, Jim gets a call from his bank, asking him for verification of a US$ 100,000 deposit that has just been made in his name. Jim gives the bank the go ahead and sits back in front of the television knowing that his immediate bills, and eldest son's quarterly college tuition which is up in three days is all paid. He can take as much time off his office, even to the extent of an unpaid leave, but, he's all good.
